Pledged.au is an independent factual record of public commitments made by Australian federal politicians and parties, and the publicly verifiable record of their implementation. It is published in the public interest as a work of journalism. Pledged.au is operated as a digital asset of AlliedOS Pty Ltd; references to "Pledged.au" in this disclaimer include AlliedOS Pty Ltd in its capacity as publisher.

Information only — no advice

Pledged.au is provided for general informational and journalistic purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, electoral, or professional advice, and must not be relied upon as such. You must form your own conclusions and seek appropriate professional advice before acting on anything you read here.

How we describe commitments

Pledged.au records the public record. Every status (Made, Funded, Legislated, Delivered, Partial, Broken) is determined by the methodology published at /methodology, applied to primary sources cited on every record.

Pledged.au does not impute motive, intent, dishonesty, or moral judgement to any individual or party. Statuses describe the observable record, not the conduct of the people named. Where a primary source is silent, Pledged.au is silent.

Accuracy

We take reasonable care to ensure each record reflects the cited sources at the time of publication. Source documents are revised, government data is updated, and human error occurs. Pledged.au makes no warranty that any record is current, complete, or free from error.

Where the underlying source is contested, Pledged.au links the contesting record rather than choosing between accounts.

Corrections and right of reply

If you are an individual, party, or public official named on Pledged.au and you believe a record is materially incorrect, DM @pledged.au on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/pledged.au/) with the specific record, the disputed statement, and the source you believe corrects it.

We assess correction requests against the evidence rules in /methodology and respond within seven days. Substantive corrections are logged, timestamped, and visible in the record’s history. We do not negotiate framing or tone.

Third-party sources and links

Pledged.au links to and reproduces material from public sources including the Parliamentary Budget Office, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Australian Electoral Commission, Hansard, the Federal Register of Legislation, and registered party websites. Each is reused under its own licence; full attribution is at /methodology#attribution.

The Commonwealth Coat of Arms and any third-party trademarks remain the property of their owners. We are not responsible for the accuracy, currency, or availability of linked external sources.

No warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pledged.au and AlliedOS Pty Ltd disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pledged.au and AlliedOS Pty Ltd are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary loss or damage — including loss of profits, business, reputation, data, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with use of, or reliance on, this site or its contents.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where a consumer guarantee applies and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to (at our option) re-supplying the affected service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

Independence

Pledged.au accepts no funding from political parties, campaigns, lobby groups, or government departments. Funding sources, governance, and editorial policy are documented at /methodology and /funding.

Privacy

Pledged.au records the public conduct of public officials acting in their public roles. We do not collect personal information about readers via tracking scripts, analytics SDKs, or third-party cookies. Subscriber data, where collected, is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our privacy policy at /privacy.
