Pledged.au is an independent factual record of public commitments made by Australian federal politicians and parties. This privacy policy describes how Pledged.au — operated as a digital asset of AlliedOS Pty Ltd — handles personal information.
This is a placeholder policy ahead of public launch. It will be replaced with a finalised, lawyer-reviewed policy before any subscriber, watchlist, or correspondence feature is enabled.
Currently: nothing. Pledged.au runs no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no advertising, and no third-party cookies. Reading the site does not require you to identify yourself.
When watchlist subscriptions launch, the only personal information we will collect is your email address (to send you alerts) and any selections you make about which records to watch. We will not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose this information to any third party for any commercial purpose.
Pledged.au publishes information about public officials — politicians, candidates, party leaders — in their public capacity only. This includes their public commitments, public votes, and the public record of legislative and budgetary action attributable to them.
We do not publish home addresses, private contact details, family member details, or any information about a public figure’s private life unrelated to their public conduct.
Pledged.au complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. The journalistic-purposes exemption applies to factual reporting on the public conduct of public officials; it does not authorise misuse of personal information collected from readers.
